[Getting There]

Opt 1: Take the high-speed train to ‘Pingyao Ancient Town’ station, then take a bus or Didi taxi to the old town, and enter on foot.

Opt 2: Drive yourself; after exiting the highway, proceed through three traffic lights to see the ancient city wall, with convenient parking lots nearby.

[Sightseeing]

〇 Guandi Tower (Landmark building)

〇 Wumiao (Free admission temple)

〇 Yingxunmen Square: Light show at 9 pm (Offers a panoramic view of the night scenery)

〇 Dress up in traditional attire for photos (300-year-old Jin merchant courtyard)

〇 Watch a performance titled ‘Yujian Pingyao’

[Cuisine]

Must-try dishes: Pingyao beef, Guoyourou (fried pork), copper hot pot, Kaolao, Wantuo, Niurou Daoxiao Mian, etc.

Local snacks: Sea buckthorn yogurt, mooncakes, glutinous rice cakes, beef skewers, cold Wantuo, stinky tofu, oil tea, etc.
