Pilgrimage to Mount Kailash – Three-Day Journey to a Buddhist Holy Site
Mount Kailash, located in the Kangding region of Tibet Autonomous Region, is considered the center of Tibetan Buddhism and one of the world’s most sacred peaks. It boasts a rich religious history and magnificent natural beauty, making it a sacred destination for pilgrims and travelers alike. Pilgrims from various parts of Asia undertake long journeys, crossing spectacular high-altitude landscapes in western Tibet, to pay homage and circumambulate this holy mountain.
Day 1: Departure from Lhasa – Ranwu Lake – Distant View of Mount Kailash
Day 2: Pilgrimage Route – Dargye Monastery – Yaqing Monastery
Day 3: Circumambulation Route – Saga Township – Everest Base Camp
Ranwu Lake at Mount Kailash is a high-altitude plateau lake with picturesque shores, an ideal place to appreciate the magnificent scenery of Mount Kailash. Along the pilgrimage route, you’ll encounter Dargye Monastery and Yaqing Monastery, both significant Tibetan Buddhist temples, allowing you to experience the beauty of snow-capped mountains while immersing in religious culture. The circumambulation route takes you through Saga Township and Everest Base Camp, offering a close encounter with the grandeur of the world’s highest peak.
