Huangshan, a national 5A-level tourist attraction. It is a world-renowned dual heritage site, recognized for its natural and cultural significance. Huangshan is famed for its “Five Wonders”: unique pine trees, peculiar rocks, sea of clouds, hot springs, and winter snow. It holds the title of “the most fantastic mountain under heaven.”
There’s a Chinese saying: ‘After seeing the Five Sacred Mountains, other mountains are not worth looking at; after visiting Huangshan, the Five Sacred Mountains are not worth looking at.’ Its astonishing beauty is beyond words.
If you have sufficient time, you may also consider a 3-day tour covering Huangshan, Hongcun, и Wuyuan for a more comprehensive experience.
Start the day by taking a cable car to Bai'e Ling. Explore Bai'e Ling, then ascend to Shixin Peak, visit Mengbi Shenghua, Monkey Gazing at the Sea, Eighteen Arhats Facing the South Sea, Beihai Scenic Area, Lion Peak, Qingliang Terrace, Fei Lai Shi, and Huangshan's second-highest peak, Guangming Ding. After lunch, continue to explore Tianhai Scenic Area, Aoyu Peak, Yixiantian, Bai Bu Yunti, Lianhua Feng, Tiandu Feng, and Yupinglou (Welcoming Pine). Descend via cable car to the transfer center.
Avoid the peak seasons during the May Day and National Day holidays when Huangshan experiences a surge in tourism. Accommodations and transportation can be tight, so it's recommended for those not in a hurry to steer clear of these peak periods. Other times are ideal for a visit to Huangshan.
From November to March, with fewer tourists due to colder weather, it's a great opportunity to appreciate Huangshan's winter scenery and experience its unique winter charm. Winter is also the perfect season to witness the mesmerizing sea of clouds, especially after rain or snow when the weather clears, creating a spectacular and colorful display during sunrise and sunset!
