Welcome to Guilin! Your personal guide meets you at the airport/train station for a transfer to your hotel. Custom idea: Guilin's night scene is beautiful, a great way to relax after your flight. The city center's "Two Rivers and Four Lakes" offer pleasant lakeside walks and night cruises.
Visit Daxu, an ancient town on the Li River, once Guangxi's busiest market. Explore its forgotten stories. After lunch, start with Guilin's landmark, Elephant Trunk Hill, named for its shape. Admire the natural art of Reed Flute Cave, a vast limestone cave illuminated by colorful lights.
Enjoy picturesque views on a high-standard Li River cruise. Arrive in Yangshuo, greeted by China's most beautiful rural scenery. Choose your transport, whether car, bicycle, or scooter, to embrace and enjoy the natural surroundings.
Start the day with a bamboo rafting trip on the Yulong River. Your private guide and driver will take you to Yangshuo train station. Rest during the 1.5-hour journey. Your Guizhou guide will meet you at Congjiang train station and assist with hotel check-in.
Guizhou's rice terraces impress with their altitude and wilderness. Hike through some of these for 2.5 hours in the morning, descending from the mountaintop along narrow paths through fresh paddies. After lunch at a selected restaurant, spend a free afternoon in Zhaoxing, one of China's largest Dong villages.
Guizhou, home to many ethnic minorities, including the Miao and Dong, large groups with diverse subcultures. Visit a village where people continue their ancestors' paper-making business. Learn step-by-step how to make paper with an experienced natural papermaker. Enjoy lunch at a farmhouse, then visit an untouched village known for its unique shape. Stroll along cobblestone paths, observing the daily life of minority communities.
Visit a special village where residents are known for their wax dyeing works and military-style women's attire. Participate in the wax dyeing process. After lunch, explore another special Miao village famous for its women's ornate mini skirts and unique centuries-old food storage methods.
Your guide will escort you to Guiyang airport and assist with check-in procedures.
Zhenyuan: Add an extra day to enjoy a relaxing canyon cruise and the tranquility of an ancient town. Anshun: Add a day to visit China's largest waterfall and karst parks. Guilin and Yangshuo: Extend by 2-3 days for a Li River cruise and countryside exploration in Yangshuo. Zhangjiajie: Add 2-3 days for a visit to Zhangjiajie.
