In the event of a fraud alert from the credit card processing agency, we will request confirmation before processing your transaction. If a booking is too urgent to obtain all necessary confirmations in a timely manner, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation and refund the cardholder’s account for our own and the cardholder’s protection.
Currency Exchange Disclaimer
(Applicable to customers paying with credit cards only)
Cosstrip will debit your credit card in Chinese Yuan (CNY). The credit card company or bank will convert this amount into the currency of your credit card account.
In our quotes, Cosstrip converts CNY to USD at a rate of CNY 714 = 100 USD, but charges your credit card in CNY (Note: Cosstrip will use the latest exchange rate, which may differ from the rate displayed above). The bank and credit card company must then purchase CNY at the local rate to settle the payment. This rate may be higher or lower than our rate, and the bank and credit card company may also charge service fees for the transaction. Due to these factors, the amount displayed on your bank statement may be more (or even less) than you anticipated.
Payment
Deposit and Final Payment
When booking a tour itinerary, the full payment is required. The full payment or final balance must be settled 7 days before the commencement of your journey through China.
Receipt of your deposit or final payment indicates that you (and your travel agency, if applicable) have read and accepted these terms and conditions.
The following terms and conditions form the basis of the contract between Cosstrip and its clients. It is crucial that our clients understand and accept these terms and conditions, along with the quotes, itineraries, and other relevant information provided by our travel advisors.
Payment
Note: Before making a payment, please verify our exchange rate against your bank’s rate and check your bank’s transaction fee policy.
Currently, Cosstrip quotes travel prices in USD on our website for you to understand the tour costs and the RMB equivalent at the time of booking.
① In the event of RMB appreciation, Cosstrip will honor all tour quotes that have been fully paid at the time of RMB appreciation.
② Tourists who have not fully paid their tour costs at the time of revaluation will need to pay the difference between the new and old prices calculated in RMB. Cosstrip will never charge fees higher than the agreed-upon quote by you, our customer.
Cancellation & Refund
We regret your decision to cancel your trip to China, understanding that there are valid reasons for such occurrences.
In case of a cancellation, you are entitled to a 100% refund of all payments made to Cosstrip if canceled at least 7 days before departure. Unless otherwise specified by your travel advisor, cancellation fees are calculated as follows:
◉ 6 to 4 days before the trip, 20% of the total tour cost
◉ 3 days to 1 day before the trip, 40% of the total tour cost
◉ On the day of the trip, 60% of the total tour cost
◉ If the business fee paid according to the above ratio is not enough to compensate the merchant’s actual losses, the consumer shall compensate the merchant according to the actual losses, but the maximum amount shall not exceed the total order fee.
◉ In addition, we do not accept group funds reserved for a certain period of time to participate in another route.
◉ After registration, we will arrange the reservation of accommodation and vehicle driver for the whole trip
◉ Tickets for scenic spots that have been booked but have not been used, and the fees for experience activities can not be refunded at any time.
◉ Unoccupied reserved hotel rooms follow the hotel’s refund policy.
◉ Services unused due to your unwillingness/inability to participate, early departure, late arrival, or missing parts of the itinerary after the trip has started are non-refundable.
Special Note:
Cancellation terms for groups of 10 or more may vary based on specific circumstances. Please consult your travel advisor for cancellation policies applicable to groups of 10 or more.
Itinerary Changes
We are pleased to accommodate itinerary changes free of charge before booking. Changes made after paying will incur a fee of $25.00 per request. All costs associated with modifications to the reservation by Cosstrip are the responsibility of the customer. This includes any fees and charges imposed by third parties such as cruise operators, airlines, and hotels.
Travel Documents
All customers must possess a valid passport and necessary visas or permits before commencing travel. Customers are solely responsible for all such documents. Your travel advisor may assist you in applying for the required travel documents as needed. Cosstrip assumes no responsibility or obligation for customers failing to obtain the necessary documents.
Health Requirements
Customers should consider all international travel risks and familiarize themselves with the health requirements applicable to the regions they intend to visit. Customers are solely responsible for checking security conditions, vaccination requirements, and other health prerequisites set by the governments of the countries/regions they plan to visit or transit. Travelers heading to Tibet must provide a medical certificate attesting to their fitness for travel, normal blood pressure, and heart condition. This is a necessary requirement due to the high altitude, which may affect certain individuals.
Baggage Allowance
As per the regulations of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the free baggage allowance within China is 20 kilograms for economy class, 30 kilograms for business class, and 40 kilograms for first class, with limited carry-on baggage. Excess baggage fees are the responsibility of the customer. Chinese regulations stipulate that all luggage must have a locking device. Failure to comply with this regulation may result in airport staff refusing to load the luggage onto the aircraft.
Insurance
Cosstrip packages include complimentary travel accident/death insurance with a maximum coverage of $30,000 per adult as part of the package. However, we strongly recommend that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance from your country of origin. The insurance provided by Cosstrip is not applicable if you only purchase hotel or China flight bookings through Cosstrip.
